Job Retention Scheme
Speaking to the House of Commons, the Chancellor announced more measures for businesses in the UK during the pandemic, including extending the furlough scheme until the end of March, meaning the government will continue to pay up to 80% of the wages of furloughed staff.
Applies to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
The CJRS extension will be reviewed in January to examine whether the economic circumstances are improving enough for employers to be asked to increase contributions.
Self Employed Scheme
The chancellor also announced support for the self-employed, with the next income support grant for November to January increasing to 80% of average profits up to £7,500.
Dividends
We are still awaiting news regarding Directors that claim their salary via dividends, the DLA are aware that there are a number of members that have been unable to receive any support from the Govt. since March and the association is continuing to pursue HM Treasury and the Department of Health for support for Directors of dental labs that fall into this category.
Thank you for your continued support
