Since the start of the year and the fantastic news regarding the vaccination roll out, we have seen an increased number of enquiries relating to the eligibility of Dental Technicians to apply for early vaccination against COVID-19 as a front line healthcare worker. The roll out will vary from region to region, however registered Dental Technicians should be eligible to apply for the vaccine during phase 2 of the national roll out. Due to the roll out in phase two being focused on patient-facing healthcare professionals, we do not believe that other members of the dental laboratory team will be eligible for early vaccination roll out i.e. non-registered dental lab assistants, admin or delivery drivers. The DLA will of course continue to review the advice should it change.
