Last week, the DLA announced the winners and those highly commended of the Trade Awards. We would like to thank all the DLA Affiliates for their continued support in 2020, and congratulate everyone who was nominated for an award this year.
One of the awards recognised was ‘Best Sales Rep of the Year’, the winner of which was George Martin from Metrodent.
As most of you know, George is a true gentleman and a legend in our profession; he has dedicated over 30 years of his working life to helping the profession through some very tough times. His natural charm and honesty make George a special person, one many of us are lucky to know both inside and outside our profession, and he will be missed by so many following his retirement.
2020 has been a bleak year, but we are so pleased that one of its highlights can be that the DLA Members recognised all of George’s work.
George has said of his upcoming retirement: “The 17th November 2020 was my last day at work after 38 years as Northern Area Representative for Metrodent Limited. I am now looking forward to my retirement, but I don’t know if I am happy or sad. I will greatly miss going out on my calls every day.
I would like to thank all the Laboratories and Technicians in my area for their support and friendship. It has been a pleasure to visit you all. Stay safe.”
The DLA would like to thank George for all his hard work in the industry, and wish him a happy retirement. The industry will miss you!
